And so it goes—I've had a blah week, stuck in a slough of discontent. It's really hard for me to share my mood with my friends since I see myself as a positive girl of happy disposition. My shoulders may be high & too bony for most, but they are always available for my friends and loved ones to lean on. Unfortunately, I need to do the leaning now.
Happily, my weekend plans involve running away to Los Angeles with friends to buoy our moods and think in a new vein. It will be the perfect tonic, I say!
Here's a few selections from a favorite playlist of mine, "Bar Brawls in My Head." It will be blasted during our road trip. It's my "angry" music—that is, for folks who envision bar brawls with, um, angry sunflowers or something. I'm not very good at being mad!

:(
...Even Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix couldn't get you out of the funk?
Feel better Liz, hopefully LA is awesome - I'd love to be there now. The east coast is boring me some.

Hey
If you’re into Metric, you can check them out at The Edge festival in Edinburgh. You can listen to a preview of the artists performing here: http://radiomagnetic.com/main-features/edge-festival-dance-preview/
Thanks

I love that you have Chin Up Chin Up on the list! I got that album for $1 at a library sale and it's one of my favorite finds!
I just saw Metric and they were FUN! Emily wore a silver sequined dress and put on a great show. I've been listening to her solo stuff all week (Emily Haines + The Soft Skeleton) and love it.
If you need another angry song: Fight Riff by Eula. I always imagine some Kill Bill scenario when I hear it. And then I feel better...
