Happy Thursday, blisslisters! If you have a free moment, turn your pretty peepers over to the newly-launched website, 80 minutes for life. The concept is brilliant: 80 minutes for life is an ever-burgeoning playlist mecca housing a catalogue of "ultimate introductory mixes" for every single band out there. The playlists will be constructed by a collective of music geeks (myself included from time to time, be forewarned!) who possess the confidence, knowledge, and affection to construct the perfect playlist. I'm already scheming over my inaugural 80 minute playlist devoted to Broken Social Scene, sword to the sky!
In the meantime, check out today's entry. Brad East, co-founder of 80 minutes for life, posted a fantastic playlist and write-up on Wilco. It is a spot-on, beautiful love letter to the band—a heroic feat of mix-making, indeed.

I plan on visiting 80 minutes for life regularly, returning with greedy ears. The other co-founder, Patrick Gosnell, plans on posting a playlist on The National in the near future. Another blue ribbon on your brain, Patrick? I wait with baited breath, mister!
