The weather sucks, my flowers are dead, and my fridge smells funny, but I'm too exhausted and sleep-deprived to care. I am damn happy to be home. Mwah, san francisco.
And now, I will nap. Put me to sleep, dear Old Dominion playlist.

ps. I discovered Toronto's The Rural Alberta Advantage a couple of months ago. Their debut, Hometowns, is superb and Nils Edenloff's unusual "un-singing" voice works well with the album's acoustic, narrative approach. I listened to the album a few times during my travels, and "Don't Haunt This Place" is an apt summation of my east coast attitude....♥ it. I'm also a fan of the new Doveman tune, "Breathing Out." A gorgeous dreamscape, it's perfect zone-out music for my daily train ride. Thomas Bartlett (Doveman) is on tour with The National, and I should have labled him in my previous post. (He's positioned to the right behind the keyboard. His contributions were amazing as well, I spent a great deal of time watching him during the set.) If you are in the NYC area, Doveman is playing at Le Posson Rouge later this month and members of The National will back him. I am jealous, dammit! He is magnificent...

Love the playlist! I somehow have never heard The Rural Alberta Advantage until just now. Now I can't wait to hear the rest of there album. Thanks for that! Cool blog by the way. Mind if I link you? I just started my first blog.

great post. Florence and the Machine sound great; one of those songs i want to play on repeat, but I'm scared to, because i absolutely do not want to get sick of it and not be able to listen to it any more.
