Yes, yes—the likely "might" of moving has transformed into a definite, definite!!!! confirmation of HELL YEAH. I've spent the last year mulling over the pragmatic likelihood of relocating to the east coast (my beloved family is there, xo to my mums), but I've made a decision against it. I belong to the hills of San Francisco. They possess my heart—madly and completely. Moreover, I'm upgrading. Every single creative fiber of me is writhing with glee. Hardwood floors and clean canvases—dear mister new apartment, I'm going to coat you in pretty paints, twirl about your lovely interiors, cook upon your ready appliances, and imprint myself into every nook and corner. I hope you don't mind. I have great taste, my dear. We will be fast friends, we will fall in love—pinky swear!

Yes, I have a playlist for everything.

I'm a fan of green kitchens, although that blue one does seem quite lovely, too.
Moving is exciting! Well, not the literal part so much, but the acquiring of new space - a blank canvas - makes up for the packing. ;)

Liz,
We have so much music taste overlap, so if your "artistic" taste is anything similar, then I'm sure your apartment will love you! Ha ;)
Would've been nice to have another East Coast bud, but I also enjoy hearing from some West Coast folk. Glad you feel you're making the right decision.

My vote (if you're taking votes) is for the green--a perfect color for a kitchen in my opinion. Good luck with the move! I so hate the actual act of moving--the packing, the hauling of boxes, blah blah blah--so I hope you have lots of great friends to help! Maybe you'll post some photos of the final result in a few weeks/months? Hope so.

OMG I adore the postcards idea! I'm torn between the blue and green kitchen - I'd go blue on this one b/c I've ATTEMPTED to paint 2 rooms that green shade and ended up with unfortunate hospital puce. It's a dangerous chance;)

Thanks for weighing in, everyone! The blue and the green hues will be tricky... I think I am going with a muted green in the kitchen (and you are right, it simply cannot end up hospital-esque or horrid & rottenish) and a subtle blue in the main room. A saw a few photos of a florist's apartment and she used a lovely muted blue called "cumulus blue." If it ends up looking powder-bluish or bright in any way, I will be very unhappy. Believe me, you will hear about it.
And I am excited about the clipboards too, Erin. It should be an inexpensive, interesting way to display some of my letterpress finds. I have so many ideas, I will probably be decorating my apartment piece-by-piece for months on end... I'll get some photos up one day!

I don't know why I didn't mention this before, but an alternative to the clipboards is to use binder clips similar to http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3027/2555344836_eb04ee38e5.jpg?v=0 or http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_EkxQiDsvJOM/RuVM6HpCvgI/AAAAAAAAF7M/XPv-NbM6GPY/s400/Picture%2B2.png. I use them instead of buying tons of frames for all the little prints I have. Plus, I use them on my bulletin board instead of thumb tacks so as to not poke holes in my procured masterpieces.

You have awesome taste in music. Hopefully none of my friends will find out that I like Annie :)

Angie, I love that idea. It will be stolen now.
And Daniel, thx! Annie is the equivalent of Robyn and Justin Timberlake, but I think their musical merits can be defended. If your friends find out, I'll pen a good defense for you!

Brandon, thank you, xo!!! Unfortunately, those images are inspiration shots, not from my new place. I like to think my new abode will end up somewhere close though. Here's to patience! I still have a bit of decorating work ahead of me.
