Biography

This is a fairly new photo of myself. Upon seeing it, my mother im'ed with me, "Honey, I love your new photo! .... did you get a goldfish tattoo?"

I told her no. It's my favorite necklace. The amazing thing is that I don't think my mum would've minded a fish tattoo on the upper chest of her youngest daughter. For this & many, many other reasons, I adore her.

With that said, I'm Liz Frith. Welcome to the blisslist: my love letter, my kissing booth for music.

I'm from the Old Dominion, but I've made my home in San Francisco for 3 years. SF has had a major influence on my ever-burgeoning musicholism, and I'm thankful to be here. It's a gorgeous city, through & through.

I think this is the part of my site where I'm supposed to be all clever and whatnot ...

Uh-o.

Really, all that you need to know is that I love music—madly & deeply, maybe even intimidatingly so. Music bleeds into every aspect of my life, and I have a playlist for everything (recent favs include my "Ode to my newly cracked iphone screen" and "Uh-oh Bea Arthur died" playlists). I spend much of my free time listening to new finds, reading other music blogs, going to concerts, and being thinky & bright about old favorites.

My other interests include music & design blogs, thoughtfully-designed pedestrian walkways, color palettes, folks with impressive font collections, walking long distances, floral shops with ranuculus bundles, delicious acme bread, mid-century furniture, Tiny Fey (so smart!), editorial mistakes on menus, curmudgeony succulents, Julia Child, mustard varietals, the latest cover of The New Yorker, and the Pacific ocean when it's silver-streaked & brooding.

I'm also distracted by cheese. Olive oil & balsamic. Eggplant. Secret Breakfast ice cream from Humphry Slocombe. Coffee from Four Barrel. I eat tomatoes on a daily basis. I tend to over season things with rosemary or basil. I am working on this.

Thank you for visiting & I hope you enjoy the blisslist. It evolved from a weekly friend-intended recommendation list, and I'm honored to have so many readers. I hope you enjoy the songs posted here, and if you do, please consider purchasing the full album or seeing a live performance. Throw a little $ their way—it makes a huge difference, friends! Support what you love, support what matters.

♥,

Liz
